Daily Report
January 15 2021
Thursday was another mild day for this time of year along with cloudy conditions and the temperature reaching into the upper 30's. The above average temperatures are expected to continue through the weekend along with some lake effect snow. In the upper end of the river anglers have had action in the Lower Fly Zone as well as the deeper holes between Altmar and Pineville. In the lower end of the river anglers have had action around RT2A, Papermill, Town Pool, Staircase and DSR. Both of these sections continue to get the most fishing pressure on a daily basis. If your looking for some solitude and willing to walk the mid section of river would be a good choice. Anglers who are fly fishing had the most success dead drifting with natural colored nymphs or pale colored egg patterns. Anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing had the most success with pink and blue egg sacs, beads or marabou jigs.
