Over the weekend we had increased fishing pressure from what we've been getting during the week and it was great to see anglers taking advantage of the weather window opportunity that was available. The Lower Fly Zone has been getting the most pressure on a daily basis but is also producing the most action on a daily basis. In the lower end of the river the DSR is also getting fished on a daily basis but anglers are also getting into some fish. Some days have been better then others, but covering water and changing patterns has helped make anglers successful. If your trying to avoid other anglers and willing to walk, the mid section of river is always a good choice. Anglers who are fly fishing have been having the most success dead drifting with natural looking nymphs or indicator fishing with pale colored egg patterns. Anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing are having success with blue, pink or chart egg sacs, beads or marabou jigs. Last night and this morning we picked up another couple inches of lake effect snow, some colder weather is expcted as we had through the week and into the upcoming weekend.
