Daily Report

February 04 2021

Thursday turned out to be a really nice day with plenty of sunshine and the temperature reached into the 30's.  It was one of the best weather days we've had in over a week and it was great seeing anglers getting out on the water and taking advantage of conditions. The majority of anglers we spoke with fished the upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville with mixed results. A few anglers reported getting into some fish in the Lower Fly Zone, while other anglers reported having a slow day in other sections of the river. Anglers who were fly fishing had the most success dead drifting with nymphs or indicator fishing with single egg patterns.
