On Monday we had a front move through in the morning with high winds and scattered rain showers and in the afternoon it cleared up with sunny conditions. The majority of anglers we spoke with reported having another good day in the lower end of the river. Most of the anglers we spoke with fished around RT2A, Ballpark, Town area, Staircase/bridge, Black Hole and DSR. We did finally speak with a few anglers who fished the upper end of the river and got into some fish as well. Overall in the lower end of the river anglers reported getting into mostly kings along with a few cohos. Anglers who fished the DSR reported steady fish movement in the mid to upper section in the morning. With good water levels and some early season fish were way ahead of last year at this time and the season is off to a good start and should only continue to get better.
Yesterday we had very rough conditions on the lake, the majority of boats did not go out. If they did go out it was only for a couple hours first thing in the morning. If you've been following the LOC Tournament which started on August 20th, it ended Labor Day. 32.04lbs was the grand prize winner, you can check out the leaderboard at Loc.org
