Daily Report

November 17 2021

On Tuesday we finally caught a break with the weather and had decent temperatures with calm conditions and no precipitation. The upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville continues to get the most fishing pressure on a daily basis. Anglers fishing the Upper & Lower Fly Fishing Area have been getting into some steelhead along with the occassional brown trout. Indicator fishing with egg patterns or dead drifting with nymphs and small streamers has been producing the best results. In the lower end of the river anglers who fished the DSR reported that the fishing improved from what it's been with some better sized fish being landed.  Anglers had the most success bottom bouncing with egg sacs or float fishing with egg sacs and beads.
