Daily Report

December 17 2021

On Thursday we had very mild weather conditions with the temperature reaching into the low 60's in the afternoon. With the recent warmer weather and drop in water level a few more anglers have been getting out to take advantage of the conditions. Over the last couple of days we got mixed reports from anglers, some groups are getting into fish, while others are having a tough time. Anglers who are covering lots of water and putting in the most time are having the most success. For those anglers who are fly fishing, dead drifting with nymphs or indicator fishing with egg patterns has produced the best results. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, pink and blue egg sacs, beads, pink worms and marabou jigs have all produced results.

Suggested Patterns:

Streamers: Egg sucking leeches in black or purple, size 8. Beadhead woolly buggers in black, olive, orange, red, size 6. Fishskull zonkers in black, olive, white, grizzly size 8.
