Daily Report

December 22 2021

On Tuesday we had a mix of sun and clouds with the temperature reaching into the 30's in the afternoon. With the recent drop in water and stable water conditions over the last couple of days, the fish have adjusted and are holding in and around the deeper holes and larger runs. Not much fishing pressure over the last few days which is normal right before the holidays. The few anglers we spoke with over the last couple of days have got into some steelhead both in the upper and lower end of the river.  Anglers who are fly fishing have had the most success dead drifting with nymphs or indicator fishing with egg patterns. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, pink and blue egg sacs, beads and pink worms have produced the best results.

Just a reminder that the shop and motel will be closed on December 24th & December 25th.
