On Friday we had some sunshine in the morning with clouds and scattered rain showers in the afternoon. The water level is down from where we were earlier in the week but is still running off color in the lower end of the river. With the recent drop in water level we did see an increase in the number of anglers taking advantage of the conditions. After speaking with anglers stopping into the shop, some anglers were staying here on the main river, while others were going to some of the smaller local tributaries. In the upper end of the river anglers should focus on the normal holding areas such as Lower Fly Zone, Wire Hole, Ellis Cove, Bovines, Trestle Pool, Refrigerator, Pineville and Sportsman Pool area. In the lower end of the river anglers are focussing on the normal holding areas such as RT2A, Town Pool, Longbridge/Staircase, Black Hole and the DSR.
