Daily Report

December 15 2017

Please check the waterline for the latest update the water level is coming down. On Friday we had a mix of suns and clouds and the temperature reached near 30 degrees in the afternoon.  We did get a break from the snow during the day, but more lake effect snow is in the forecast as we head into the weekend. The few anglers we spoke with who were fly fishing in the upper end of the river reported having success dead drifting with nymphs or egg patterns under a strike indicator. Anglers we had staying in the motel who fished the lower end of the river reported getting into a mix of fresh chrome and colored up fish while float fishing with pink and blue egg sacs.  I spent the morning cleaning up snow from the previous night, but in the afternoon I fished the DSR for a few hours and managed to land some fresh chrome.  With the recent snow we picked up this week most of the access lots have been cleared and were in good shape.
