Daily Report

October 06 2022

On Wednesday we had sunny conditions and the temperature reached into the mid 60's. The mild weather conditions are expected to continue again on Thursday with the temperature reaching near 70 degrees along with a chance of showers on Friday.  As anglers arrive for the upcoming holiday weekend the fishing pressure should increase which is normal for this time of year. Yesterday we got mixed reports from anglers who fished the DSR, depending on where they fished and experience level, anglers we able to get into fish. The anglers who covered water and moved around had the most success while getting into small pods of fish. Other areas in the lower end of the river where anglers had success was around the Black Hole, Town Pool, Ballpark and RT2A. The anglers we spoke with who fished upper end of the river reported having a good between Altmar and Pineville. Anglers reported getting into fish in the Upper & Lower Fly Zone, Ellis Cove, Trestle Pool, Pineville and Sportsman Pool area.
