Over the weekend we had runoff from the recent rain and on Saturday the lower end of the river had a lot of leaves and debris. On Sunday anglers who fished the lower end of the river reported that the leaves were not a factor and that the water clarity had improved from the previous day. A variety of techniques continue to be effective but anglers are still getting into fish in the faster water. The anglers who have figured this out and made the correct adjustments are having the most success. In the lower end of the river anglers have been getting into fresh fish in the DSR, Staircase/Longbridge, around the Town Pool and RT 2A. In the mid to upper end of the river anglers have been having success above the Sportsman Pool, Pineville, Trestle Pool, Wire Hole, below the Altmar bridge as well as the Upper & Lower Fly Fishing Areas.
