Daily Report

April 11 2023

Monday was another beautiful day with blue skies, plenty of sunshine and the temperature reached near 60 degrees.  The good news is that were going into a dry stretch of weather and a significant warming trend as we head through the week.  Yesterday was another day of mixed results from anglers, some groups got into fish, while others reported having a tough day.  The drift boats are taking advantage of the water conditions and covering lots of water while getting into drop backs scattered throughout the river. The majority of bank anglers have been fishing the mid to upper end of the river in the softer seams along the edges, side channels off the main river or some of the smaller local tributaries.

Suggested patterns:

Nymphs;  Steelhead Hammer, Rusher nymphs, Prince nymphs, Rubber legged stones, Beadhead stones, Pheasant tails, Soft hackles.

Eggs; Sucker spawn, Estaz eggs, Steelie Omelette, Glo-bugs, Steak-n-eggs.

Streamers; Woolly buggers, Conehead muddlers, Egg sucking leeches, Zonkers, Stonefly buggers.
