Daily Report

April 13 2023

On Wednesday the really warm weather continued with overcast skies in the morning along with sunny conditions in the afternoon and the temperature reached near 70 degrees. The dry and extremely mild weather conditions are expected to continue right through the upcoming weekend.  Yesterday the majority of anglers we spoke with reported having a good day while getting into drop backs from top to bottom. The drift boats are taking advantage of the water conditions and covering lots of water while getting into drop backs scattered throughout the river. The majority of bank anglers have been fishing the mid to upper end of the river in the softer seams along the edges, side channels off the main river or some of the smaller local tributaries.

Suggested patterns:

Nymphs;  Steelhead Hammer, Rusher nymphs, Prince nymphs, Rubber legged stones, Beadhead stones, Pheasant tails, Soft hackles.

Eggs; Sucker spawn, Estaz eggs, Steelie Omelette, Glo-bugs, Steak-n-eggs.

Streamers; Woolly buggers, Conehead muddlers, Egg sucking leeches, Zonkers, Stonefly buggers.
