Thursday was another mild day with calm and cloudy conditions and the temperature reached near 50's. The drift boats have been taking advantage of the higher water while covering lots of water. In the lower end of the river the bank anglers are fishing the softer edges and inside seams in search of fresh steelhead coming in with the higher flows. In the mid to upper end of the river the majority of bank anglers have been fishing between Altmar and Pineville in the normal winter holding areas. For those anglers not comfortable with the high water, some of the smaller local tributaries can provide another opportunity.
