We are currently heading into the off season time of the year here on the river as things quiet down. While we still may get the occassional angler in hopes of getting into any last remaining steelhead, for many anglers the focus now shifts to other angling opportunites. Whether it's smallmouth bass in the lower end of the river, inland trout fishing around the state, trolling out on Lake Ontario or pike and walleye. For many of our non resident anglers who fish the river, they may stay closer to home and chase trout on home waters or target striped bass as they migrate up the eastcoast. Either way this is nothing new for this time of the year and it happens every season, anglers just end up with more options then time. For those anglers who really just enjoy fishing in general, this is actually a good problem to have.
