October 08 2024
On Monday we had fall like conditions with some cooler temperatures. Rain is expected for Tuesday and Wednesday along with some colder temperatures which will be very much appreciated especially after a very warm and dry September. Yesterday the majority of anglers we spoke with who fished the DSR reported having a very good day with plenty of fresh kings on the move. Overall we currently have fish scattered in the river from top to bottom. In the upper end of the river anglers have reported kings holding in and around the deeper holes and larger runs, such as Upper Fly Zone, Lower Fly Zone, Schoolhouse Pool, Trestle Pool and Sportsman Pool. In the mid to lower end of the river depending on the day, anglers have reported fresh kings along with a few cohos on the move in areas such as the Ballpark, Town Pool, Longbridge/Staircase, Black Hole and the DSR.
