October 07 2024
On Sunday we had warm and sunny conditions with the temperature reaching into the 70's. Now that the warm weather conditions have moved out were expected to have fall like conditions as we head through the week. Over the weekend the fishing pressure increased which is normal for this time of year especially on the weekend. Yesterday anglers reported getting into a mix of kings and cohos depending on what section of river they fished. Overall we currently have fish scattered in the river from top to bottom. In the upper end of the river anglers have reported kings holding in and around the deeper holes and larger runs, such as Upper Fly Zone, Lower Fly Zone, Schoolhouse Pool, Trestle Pool and Sportsman Pool. In the mid to lower end of the river depending on the day, anglers have reported fresh kings along with a few cohos on the move in areas such as the Ballpark, Town Pool, Longbridge/Staircase, Black Hole and the DSR.
