Daily Report

December 02 2024

On Sunday for most of the day we had cloudy with cold conditions and the lake effect snow stayed north of us, but Sunday night we finally picked up a few inches of snow, nothing significant, just enough to cover the ground. Yesterday we got mixed reports from anglers depending on what section they fished, some anglers got into fish, while others did not. The upper and lower end of the river continues to get the most anglers on a daily basis. If your willing to walk and looking to avoid other anglers, the mid section of river would be a good choice. With the low water conditions the fish have been holding in and around the deeper holes and larger runs. For those anglers who are fly fishing, dead drifitng with nymphs, indicator fishing with egg patterns or swinging small streamers with sink tips have all produced results. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, egg sacs and beads have produced the best reults. Depending on the day anglers have been getting into fish in the Lower Fly Fishing Zone, Schoolhouse area, Trestle Pool area, Pineville area, Sportsman Pool area, Staircase/Longbridge, Black Hole and the DSR.
