water-temp Water Temp 33F

Daily Report

February 21 2025

Thursday was another cold day with the high temperature reaching into the teens and the low near zero. The good news is that the temperature is going to improve as we head through the weekend and into early next week. With the recent cold temp's slush ice and shelf ice has been a factor in the lower end of the river and if your looking to avoid that, your best bet is in the upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville. The majority of public access parking lots have been cleared and depending on where you plan of fishing, you may be the first person making the trail to the water.  With the recent weather very few anglers have been out fishing, the few anglers who are around have mostly been in the Altmar area, but that should change with the upcoming warm weather forecast.
