Tuesday ending up being a really nice day with mostly sunny conditions and the temperature reached into the 40's. The water level continues to be high but anglers are still fishing both from the bank and drift boats. The few anglers we spoke with reported getting into some fish both in the upper and lower end of the river. Anglers who were fly fishing had the most success with nymphs and woolly buggers. Anglers who were float fishing or bottom bouncing had the most success with blue egg sacs. For those anglers who are not comfortable with the higher water, some of the smaller local tributaries are another option. Keep an eye on the weather, another Nor'easter is expected over the next couple of days. According to our local weather forecast the worst of the storm is expected to stay south and east of us. Our best chance of measurable snow looks like Friday on the back side of the storm with lake effect snow possible. We'll keep you posted as conditions develop.
