March 29 2018
Thursday was another mild day with cloudy conditions and the temperature reached into the upper 40's. In the afternoon we had scattered rain showers. The anglers we spoke with who had the most success fished the mid to upper end of the river. Anglers who were fly fishing had success dead drifting with squirmy worms, rusher nymphs and black stoneflies. A variety of egg patterns such as glo-bugs, estaz eggs and sucker spawn fished under a strike indicator was also productive. Just reminder that the Upper Fly Zone will reopen on April 1st, which also happens to be Easter Sunday.
