Daily Report

April 21 2018

On Saturday we had blue skies, plenty of sunshine and the temperature reached into the mid 40's in the afternoon. With the nice weather and drop in water level we saw an increase in the number of anglers which was no surprise especially on a weekend. We got mixed reports from anglers, a few groups had a slow day, but overall the majority of anglers we spoke with reported getting into some fish. Most of the fish that anglers reported landing were drop backs, with fish being caught from top to bottom in the river. Anglers who were fly fishing had the most success dead drifting with squirmy worms, woolly buggers and stoneflies. Indicator fishing with sucker spawn and glo-bugs also produced steady results. Anglers who were bottom bouncing or float fishing had the best results with blue egg sacs and pink worms. The mild weather and dry conditions are expected to continue over the next couple of days which will give anglers a great opportunity to get out on the water.
