Daily Report
October 04 2018
We currently have fish spread out in the river from top to bottom. Over the last couple of days fresh fish have been moving through the lower end of the river on a daily basis. On Thursday we had scattered rain showers move through the area in the morning and in the afternoon it cleared up and the temperature reached into the 60's. The anglers we spoke with who fished the DSR reported having another very good day with mostly kings along with a few cohos and steelhead. Anglers we have staying in the motel also reported having a good day in the upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville. The most productive patterns have been glo-bugs, estaz eggs, woolly buggers, egg sucking leeches, steelhead hammer, comets and estaz stones. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, pink and blue egg sacs have also produced steady results.
