October 09 2018
On Tuesday it certainly didn't feel like fall, instead we had summer like conditions with the temperature reaching into the mid 80's. We have another few days of above average temperatures, then cooler conditions along with some rain for the upcoming weekend. Overall anglers have been doing well and getting into fish. We currently have fish in the river from top to bottom. We have salmon spawning throughout the river in the gravel areas as well as fresh fish entering the lower end of the river on a daily basis. By far the majority of anglers are salmon fishing, but each day were hearing about increased numbers of steelhead being caught in the lower end of the river and mostly at the DSR. Over the last couple of days the most productive patterns have been estaz eggs, glo-bugs, steelhead hammer, egg sucking leeches, woolly buggers and flesh flies.
