Daily Report

October 16 2018

On Tuesday we had cloudy conditions in the morning along with plenty of sunshine in the afternoon and the temperature reached into the low 50's. The majority of anglers we spoke with reported having a very good day throughout the river. The anglers we spoke with who fished the DSR reported getting into mostly steelhead along with some kings. The anglers we spoke with who fished the mid to upper end of the river reported getting into mostly kings along with a few steelhead. Anglers who fished the Upper & Lower Fly Zone reported a mix of kings, cohos and a few steelhead. With the amount of salmon we currently have spawning in the river, egg patterns have been the most productive, but woolly buggers, egg sucking leeches and flesh flies have also produced steady results. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, pink and blue egg sacs have produced steady results on a daily basis.
