Daily Report

October 07 2019

As of this morning scattered rain showers were moving through our area and is expected to continue for most of the day along with the temperature in the 50's. Over the weekend we had increased fishing pressure which is normal for this time of year. We got mixed reports from anglers depending on what section of river they fished, some groups were able to get into fish, while others reported it was slow. The anglers having the most success were covering lots of water and when they did find fish, don't crowd them. With the increased fishing pressure the fish seemed to be holding in and around the deeper holes and larger runs. In the lower end of the river anglers reported a few kings on the move in the DSR, Black Hole, Staircase/Longbridge, Town Pool, Ballpark, 81 Hole and Papermill. In the mid to upper end of the river kings have been holding in the deeper holes such as Sportsman Pool, Pineville, Trestle Pool, Ellis Cove and Schoolhouse Pool. The most productive patterns have been glo-bugs, estaz eggs, sucker spawn, hot stones, comets, woolly buggers, egg sucking leeches and conehead muddlers.
