Daily Report
October 08 2019
On Monday scattered rain showers moved through our area early in the morning, but by late morning the rain had passed and we did not get as much as forecasted. Dry and mostly sunny conditions are expected over the next couple of days. Yesterday was another day of mixed reports from anglers. Some groups are doing well and getting into fish, while others are having a tough time. The anglers having the most success are covering lots of water and putting in the time but have been able to find fish. Small pods have been moving through the lower end and that's been the pattern of the last week or so. In the mid to upper end of the river fish have been holding in and around the deeper holes and larger runs. If your only going to one spot and that one spot is not holding fish, then try a new spot or try moving around. Not everyone here right now is catching fish, but the anglers who are willing to adjust have figured it out and are getting into fish. The most productive patterns have been estaz eggs, glo-bugs, sucker spawn, woolly buggers, comets, egg sucking leeches and hot stones.
