Daily Report
December 17 2019
On Monday we had calm and mostly sunny conditions with the temperature reaching into the 30's in the afternoon. Over the last couple of days the fishing pressure has tapered off which is normal for this time of year especially as we get closer to Christmas. Yesterday the few anglers we spoke with reported getting into some steelhead in the upper and lower end of the river. Anglers who were bottom bouncing or float fishing had the most success with blue and pink egg sacs. Anglers who were fly fishing had the most success using a strike indicator with single egg patterns or dead drifting with nymphs and small woolly buggers. Lake effect snow is expected for today along with the temperature reaching near 30 degrees.
