Daily Report

February 03 2020

On Monday we had calm and cloudy conditions with the temperature reaching into the 40's. Over the next couple of days the mild weather conditions are expected to continue with above average temperatures for this time of year. We got mixed reports from the anglers we spoke with, it seemed like the upper end of the river produced better action. The anglers we spoke with who fished the lower end of the river reported having a slow day. With the low water conditions the fish continue to be holding in and around the deeper holes and larger runs. Anglers who were fly fishing had the most success dead drifting with nymphs or indicator fishing with single egg patterns. The most productive patterns were steelhead hammer, wiggle stones, rusher nymphs, pheasant tails, steak-n-eggs and estaz eggs. Anglers who were bottom bouncing or float fishing had the most success with pink and blue egg sacs, pink worms, beads and marabou jigs.
