Daily Report

February 06 2020

Late last night we picked up a couple inches of lake effect snow and a winter storm watch remains in effect for the remainder of today with a wintry mix in the forecast. Yesterday the few anglers we spoke with reported working hard for the fish they got. Over the last couple of days anglers who had the most success did so in the upper and lower end of the river. In the upper end of the river anglers have had success in the Lower Fly Zone, Schoolhouse Pool, Wire Hole, Trestle Pool and Pineville. In the lower end of the river anglers have had success in the Town Pool, Longbridge/Staircase, Black Hole and DSR. Anglers who were fly fishing had the most success dead drifting with nymphs or indicator fishing with single egg patterns. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, egg sacs, pink worms, beads and marabou jigs have all produced results.
