Daily Report

We would like to wish everyone a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. Just a reminder that the shop and motel will be closed on Thanksgiving Day so our staff can spend the day with family and friends.  On Wednesday we had a wintry mix of rain in the morning with wet snow showers in the afternoon and the temperature was in the 30's. The majority of anglers we spoke with reported getting into some steelhead, with the best reports coming from the mid to lower end of the river. For those anglers who were fly fishing single egg patterns and beads under a strike indicator produced the best results. Anglers who were bottom bouncing or float fishing had the best success with pink and blue egg sacs. 

Suggested patterns:

• Wiggle stone in blue, pink, chart, peacock. size 10
• Steak-n-eggs in pink, chart, orange. size 10
• Steelhead stone in purple, orange, red. size 8
• Steelhead hammer in blue, black, red, chart. size 10
• Flesh fly in size 6
• Steelhead bugger in peacock. size 6
• Sucker spawn in white, cream, peach, blue. size 8
• Glo-Bugs in egg, oregon cheese, chart, peachy king. size 10
