Daily Report
February 26 2021
On Thursday the temperature reached near 30 degrees along with a mix of sun and clouds. The good news is that warmer weather conditions are expected for the upcoming weekend. Over the last couple of days anglers have had success in the upper end of the river betweeen Altmar and Pineville as well as the lower end of the river at the DSR. The Lower Fly Zone continues to produce steady action but is also getting the most fishing pressure on a daily basis. If your trying to avoid other anglers and willing to walk the mid section of river would be a good choice. Anglers who are fly fishing have had success dead drifting with natural colored nymphs or indicator fishing with pale colored egg patterns. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, blue, pink, chart egg sacs, pink worms, beads and marbou jigs.
