Daily Report
April 30 2021
On Friday we had steady rain in the morning along with very high winds and the temperature was in the 40's. At this point of the season the best drop back action has been in the lower end of the river. Anglers have been getting into fish at RT2A, Papermill, 81 Hole, Town Pool, Longbridge/Staircase, Black Hole and the DSR. The anglers we spoke with who fished the DSR have been getting into a mix of steelhead and smallmouth bass. Anglers who were fly fishing had the most success swinging black, olive, white or purple streamers with sinking leaders. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, pink and blue egg sacs, beads, pink worms or marabou jigs have all produced results.
