Daily Report

May 04 2021

With the recent rain its no surprise the river is running at a high level and whatever remaining steelhead we have left will be quickly leaving with the higher flows.  Prior to the high water anglers were still getting into a few steelhead in the lower end of the river, mostly around the Town Pool, Longbridge, Black Hole and DSR. Anglers who fished the DSR were getting into a mix of drop backs and smallmouth bass. Anglers who were fly fishing had the most success swinging black, olive, white or purple streamers with sinking leaders. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, pink and blue egg sacs, beads, pink worms or marabou jigs have all produced results.
