water-temp Water Temp 45F

Daily Report

September 15 2021

Tuesday was another warm and muggy day with the temperature reaching into the mid 70's again. A cold front is expected to move through later day along with some rain and windy conditions, hopefully the change in weather pattern will trigger some fish movement. Yesterday we didn't have much change with the conditions in the lower end of the river. Overall we got mixed reports from anglers, you had some isolated pods of fish around the deeper holes and a few fresh fish sneaking through, but nothing like the numbers we experienced last week. The fish from last week have made it to the upper end of the river and are holding in some of the deeper holes. Anglers who are putting in the time and covering lots of water have been able to find some fish and have success. Just a reminder that the Lower Fly Fishing Area is now open.

Yesterday was another good day out in the lake, the boats are still fishing out deep, 130 -150 feet of water north of the Salmon River because that's where the temperature is. They were able to get into mostly cohos and a few kings with echip flashers & atomik flies producing the best results.

The motel dates have been changing by the phone call and were trying to keep them updated. Just because you don't see the date listed your looking for, keep in mind that the person who literally called right before you did could of been making a change. When in doubt it's always best to call just to see if anything opened up or ask to be on a waiting list for a specific set of dates.
