Over the next couple of days cooler weather conditions are expected, but warmer weather is in the forecast for the upcoming weekend. We are currently in the transition part of the season where salmon fishing is past it's peak and the steelhead fishing is just getting started. In the lower end of the river the majority of anglers have switched gears and are now focussing on steelhead. For those anglers who are still looking for salmon, the mid to upper end of the river has the best concentration of salmon. This time of year the salmon are spawning in and around the gravel areas of the river. Anglers have been having success in the Upper & Lower Fly Zone, Ellis Cove, Upper & Lower Trestle, Pineville and upper Sportsman.
