Over the weekend we had really nice weather along with dry and sunny conditions and the temperature reached into the 60's. In the lower end of the river depending on the day, anglers have been getting into steelhead around the Ballpark, Staircase/Longbridge, Black Hole area and throughout the DSR. Anglers having the most success have been covering lots of water, with egg patterns producing the best results while fishing the faster water. At this point the majority of anglers have switched gears and are now in steelhead mode. For those anglers still looking for any remaining salmon, the upper end of the river in Altmar is your best bet. Anglers who fished the Upper & Lower Fly Areas have reported a mix of kings and cohos along with a few steelhead starting to show up.
