Daily Report

January 26 2018

Thursday was another cold day and even with mostly sunny conditions the temperature struggled to reach out of the teens. Last night and as of early this morning the temperature was in the single digits but mild continues are expected for this afternoon and the upcoming weekend. With the cold temperatures yesterday slush ice was a factor in the lower end of the river, so most of the anglers we spoke with fished the mid to upper end of the river. Anglers who were fly fishing had the most success while dead drifting with nymphs or using a strike indicator with single egg patterns. The anglers who were bottom bouncing or float fishing had the best results with egg sacs, trout beads and pink worms.
