Daily Report

March 03 2025

Sunday was another really cold day with the temperature strugggling to reach into the teens for the high and the low was in the single digits. Over the next couple of days the weather is going to improve with the temperature reaching into the 40's. The release from the dam is 1000cfs and the pineville gauge is reading around 1260cfs. In the upper end of the river anglers have been getting into steelhead in the normal winter holding areas, such as Lower Flyfishing Zone, Schoolhouse Pool, Wire Hole, Ellis Cove, Trestle Pool, Pineville and Sportsman Pool. In the lower end of the river on days when slush ice is not a factor anglers have been getting into steelhead in the Town pool, Longbridge, Black Hole and the DSR. Anglers who are fly fishing have had the most success dead drifting with nymphs or indicator fishing with egg patterns. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, beads, egg sacs or pink worms have all produced results.
