Daily Report

March 07 2025

On Thursday we had cold and very windy conditions with the temperature in the 30's and the feel like temperature was in the low teens. Despite the recent rain and warmer temperatures we had earlier in the week which did melt some snow and cause some runoff, the release from the dam has been lowered and will be 350cfs. In the upper end of the river anglers have been getting into steelhead in the normal winter holding areas, such as Lower Flyfishing Zone, Schoolhouse Pool, Wire Hole, Ellis Cove, Trestle Pool, Pineville and Sportsman Pool. In the lower end of the river anglers have been getting into steelhead in the Town pool, Longbridge, Black Hole and the DSR. Anglers who are fly fishing have had the most success dead drifting with nymphs or indicator fishing with egg patterns. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing or float fishing, beads, egg sacs or pink worms have all produced results.
