On Tuesday we had a wintry mix of lake effect snow, sleet and freezing rain along with very high winds. With less then ideal weather conditions it' no surprise we only spoke with a handful of anglers who ventured out, but one of them did report having a few hook ups in Altmar. On Sunday the wind finally stopped blowing and we had calm conditions with the temperature reaching into the mid 20's. Anglers reported getting into fish both in the upper and lower end of the river. On Friday the warmest part of the day was in the morning with the temperature in the 40's. Throughout the day the temperature continued to drop and by the afternoon it was in the 20's along with 20-30mph winds and gusts over 40.
