On Friday the heavy lake effect snow that was forecasted for our area stayed north of us with Watertown getting close to 24 inches. On Thursday morning the temperature was in the 40's along with steady rain showers and in the afternoon the temperature dropped with the rain changing over to snow showers. On Wednesday we finally caught a break with the weather and got some decent temperatures. In the morning we had a wintry mix of sleet/freezing rain and in the afternoon we had rising temperatures along with steady rain showers. Well we made it through the winter storm and we picked up roughly a foot and a half of snow.
